What an xml.p7m invoice is
A .xml.p7m viewer is for a signed invoice an editor will not open. The envelope holds FatturaPA XML. The question what is a pdf p7m file means that wrapper with a PDF inside. When you open file xml p7m, the card shows only for the invoice.

Other XML is not an invoice. No number, VAT, or total is invented, though you can still download the inner file.

Who needs the invoice fields
A reader who must open file xml p7m already holds the file and wants the figures, not a lesson on SDI.
A studio or an admin office
They check seller, VAT, and total in the XML. We do not replace the accounting system.
Someone who asked for a PDF
xml.p7m to pdf, or the tax-agency sheet, is another tool. If a PDF is already inside, that file is the download.
Someone who must keep the XML
Keep the original envelope under your own rules. We do not run legal storage, and we do not send the invoice.
Why we do not draw an invoice PDF
A redrawn PDF can differ from the fiscal XML. For a FatturaPA invoice we do not produce that PDF.
The XML is already the document
Taxable amount, tax, and total come from the tags. We will not add a layout the sender did not sign.
The tax-agency print layout is theirs
Agenzia delle Entrate tools make their sheet when one is needed. We do not rebuild it or call it ours.
SDI does not pass through this page
We do not transmit the invoice or receive notices. You open a file you already have.

Fields the card can show
A row appears only when the XML has the value.
Number, date, and type
Numero, data, and tipo documento come from the header. The type stays the code written in the file.
Seller and buyer
Cedente or fornitore, and cessionario or cliente, with the IVA code written on each party.
Taxable amount, tax, and total
Imponibile, imposta, and totale appear only when the summary already has them.

You save the inner XML. The first download is one gift after you sign in.
Which files get an invoice card
The card turns on only for a FatturaPA invoice. Other files get no invented total and no new PDF.

Before you trust the card
The preview reads the file you dropped. It is not a new fiscal document.
Keep the envelope and the XML
Saving the XML does not erase the .xml.p7m you received. Keep both if your rules say so.
Check the empty fields
A missing total was omitted or not read. We do not estimate it, and a blank is not zero.
One file, one check
Repeat the drop for each invoice. There is no folder import and no ZIP.
What this page does
These rules are the same on this page as on the rest of the site. Preview stays free. Download does not, after the one gift.
The file is not uploaded
The envelope opens in the browser, on the computer of the person who drops it. We do not send it and we do not keep it. Close the tab and the document leaves the page.
The signature is not checked
We do not look up AgID certificates, we do not ask whether a certificate was revoked, and we do not show a green, yellow, or red light. A signer name, if one is present, is text read from the envelope, not a judgment on the signature.

Questions about the invoice envelope
How do I open file xml p7m?
Drop the .xml.p7m or .p7m onto the page. When the inner file is a FatturaPA invoice, the card lists the fields that XML carries. The file is not uploaded and it is not stored.
Which invoice fields appear when you open file xml p7m?
The card can show number, date, type, seller or cedente, buyer or cessionario, VAT, taxable amount, tax, and total. Nothing absent is invented, including a number, a VAT code, or a total.
After you open file xml p7m, is the download the XML or a PDF?
For a FatturaPA invoice the download is the original XML from the envelope. We do not draw a courtesy PDF. If a PDF was already inside, you download that PDF instead.
What does converting a p7m to XML actually do?
It removes the envelope and returns the original XML already inside. The FatturaPA schema is not rewritten and nothing is mapped to another layout. On this page, convert means extract only.
Do you make the Agenzia delle Entrate PDF?
No. The Agenzia delle Entrate print layout is their tool, not a file we draw. A search for xml.p7m to pdf does not build that sheet here, and the file is not sent to them.
What if the invoice p7m already contains a PDF?
Preview and download are that PDF. We do not replace it with XML or redraw the pages. A p7m file to pdf result is the PDF already signed, so invoice fields are not shown.
Does a notice or a different XML become an invoice?
No. If the envelope is not an electronic invoice, we do not invent a number, a VAT code, or a total. You can still see the inner file and download it unchanged.
Do you check the invoice signature?
No. We do not consult a trust list, check revocation, or show a green, amber, or red light. Text that names a signer is not a verdict, and seeing fields is not a signature check.
Is the invoice saved anywhere?
No. The file is not uploaded. It stays in the browser on your computer, and we do not archive it or attach it to the account. Close the tab and it is gone.
Do I need an account to see the taxable amount and VAT?
No. The preview is free. Taxable amount, tax, and other fields show when the XML has them, and the card does not ask you to sign in. An account is only for the download.
Can I merge many invoices into one file?
No. One invoice at a time, up to 100 MB. There is no ZIP of many invoices, no combined list, and no batch. You repeat the drop for each envelope instead of merging them.
If fields are missing, do you complete them?
No. Only values in the XML are shown. A missing total stays missing and a missing VAT code stays missing. We do not look up the party or treat a blank as zero.
Does this replace the storage provider or SDI?
No. We do not send the invoice to SDI, read a tax drawer, or replace the provider that stores invoices for you. The page only opens a file you already have.
