How p7mapdf.com protects your confidentiality and processes your P7M documents

1. Who We Are

p7mapdf.com is an independent web utility designed to allow professionals, businesses, and individuals to open, view, and extract documents from digitally signed CAdES (.p7m and .pm7) cryptographic envelopes directly in the browser.

2. Zero-Knowledge and 100% Client-Side Processing

Your privacy and document confidentiality are our highest priorities.

No documents are ever uploaded to our servers.
When you drop or select a .p7m file, the CAdES cryptographic unpacking and PDF extraction take place entirely inside your device's browser memory (RAM) using client-side Web Crypto and WebAssembly.

  • Your sensitive files never travel across the network to our servers.
  • No copies of your documents or invoices are stored remotely.
  • As soon as you refresh or close the browser tab, all processed data in memory is permanently discarded.

3. Account Data (Optional)

Using the viewer to convert single files is 100% free and requires no account.

If you choose to create an optional account:

  • Google OAuth: We receive basic profile information shared by Google (name, email, profile picture).
  • Email Registration: We store your email address and a salted cryptographic password hash. We never store plaintext passwords.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

4. Cookies

We strictly enforce a minimal cookie policy:

  • p7m_session: Maintains authentication if you log in.
  • locale: Remembers your preferred language (Italian, English, Chinese).
  • No advertising or profiling cookies: We do not run third-party advertising tracking.
